Nick's Notes on Decisions made at the First IRC Meeting
Hi all.
Here are the decisions from the IRC meeting on 2nd December.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday 16th December at 18:00 GMT / 19:00 CET.
Schedule
This is the schedule as it stands currently: * Call for Papers: 14th December * Registration Open: 14th February * Talks Submission Deadline: 5th April * Publish Schedule: 14th May
* Tutorials Day: 29th June * Conference: 30th June - 2nd July * Post-conference Sprints: 3rd July onwards
Future Meetings
* Meetings to be held alternate Tuesdays at 18:00 GMT, 19:00 CET. * We're sticking with IRC for our main meetings. * If people want to try VoIP for their own meetings, welcome to do so.
Website Format
* Using static HTML for the main pages, plus a wiki for organisers and
- participants.
* Tim Parkin (irc: "tim_") is to do the CSS. * Other web 2.0-ish stuff suggested can be discussed / done later.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Martin Hellwig will coordinate publicity.
- - List all the communication channels - Make sure they're used. - Find out other people's communication channels.
* Sponsorship coordinators: Quentin and Jacob.
Keynote Speakers
* Suggestions included:
- - Sir Tony Hoare - Cory Doctorow - Ken Robinson - Don Symes - James May
* Guido cannot make it. * People should get some more ideas together for the next meeting.
